This pressure rating, combined with its power, means the pump can provide ample hydraulic horsepower to ensure efficient drilling through formations typically encountered in medium-depth wells. Its design is not intended for ultra-high-pressure, high-temperature (HPHT) wells that may require 7500 psi or higher pressures.

 

Furthermore, the 12-inch suction inlet combined with the 10-inch stroke length is designed to optimize the pump's suction performance (NPSHr) and volumetric efficiency. This is particularly important for handling viscous drilling muds and simultaneously minimizing the risk of cavitation. The larger suction inlet reduces fluid velocity at the pump's entrance, thereby minimizing pressure loss and increasing the available net positive suction head (NPSHa). The longer stroke allows more fluid to be drawn in per cycle. These features collectively ensure that the pump cylinders are fully filled during each suction stroke, which is crucial for maintaining volumetric efficiency and preventing cavitation, especially when pumping heavier or more viscous muds commonly found in drilling.

Fluid End Modules (Fluid Cylinders):

Material: Typically manufactured from high-quality forged alloy steel, such as 4135 alloy steel or 35CrMo / 40CrMoMn. These materials exhibit excellent strength and fatigue resistance.

Manufacturing Process: Modules undergo heat treatment to achieve optimal mechanical properties and a long service life. Precision machining ensures accurate dimensions for proper assembly and sealing. Manufactured strictly according to API 7K standards.

 

Valve Assembly:

Type/Size: The HHF-1000 is standardly equipped with an API #6 valve assembly. API #6 valves are very suitable for the pressure and flow rates of 1000HP class pumps.

Valve Body and Valve Seat Material: Manufactured from high-quality alloy steel (20CrMnTi), and treated with carburizing and quenching, resulting in a surface hardness greater than HRC 60, offering excellent wear resistance. Carburizing creates a hard, wear-resistant surface layer while maintaining core toughness to absorb impact loads. HRC >60 represents a significant hardness level.

Valve Insert Material: Standardly configured with high-performance polyurethane valve inserts, providing excellent durability and sealing effectiveness. Depending on drilling fluid characteristics, other specialized rubber materials like Nitrile Butadiene Rubber (NBR) may also be selected.Polyurethane is a common choice for valve inserts due to its wear resistance and good sealing properties.

 

Liner:

Standard Type: Typically features a standard high-chrome bimetallic liner, achieving a good balance between wear resistance and toughness for extended service life.

Material and Process: The outer layer is a forged steel shell, providing structural strength (e.g., 45# steel); the inner lining is centrifugally cast high-chrome cast iron, offering excellent wear and corrosion resistance (HRC 59-67), with its chemical composition typically being C 2.8%-3.1%, Cr 26%-28%. The inner bore surface is precision honed to a mirror finish. The typical service life of high-chrome liners exceeds 800 hours.

Typically consists of high-quality polyurethane or special rubber materials bonded to a sturdy piston core (piston seat). The piston core is made from forged alloy steel (42CrMo) to ensure strength.
