Operating Procedures for Emsco Mud Pumps

 

Pre-start inspection: All connection points should be tightened; the rotation direction of the electric motor should be correct; the clutch should be flexible and reliable; the pipeline should be connected firmly, sealed and the bottom valve effective.

 

Before starting the mud pump, the suction pipe, bottom valve, and pump body must be filled with water, and the upper end of the pressure gauge buffer should be filled with oil.

 

Rotate the piston back and forth twice manually, and start the pump with no load only when there is no blockage and the line insulation is good. After starting, gradually increase the load when it runs normally.

 

Pay attention to the sealing of all sealing devices during operation and adjust them if necessary. The pull rod and deputy rod should be lubricated frequently.

 

The mud content should not exceed 10% during operation.

 

To ensure reliable splash lubrication, mud pumps with multiple speeds should be operated at different speeds for no less than 30 seconds in each shift.

 

Changing speed during operation is strictly prohibited. When speed change is required, the pump should be stopped and shifted.
