Part One: The Power End: the hard core of lasting power
The power end is the heart of the Mud Pump, and its design and manufacturing quality directly determines the reliability and service life of the whole equipment. We are well aware of this, so in every detail has adopted the most stringent standards.
Solid frame and transmission system
Frame construction: our pumps are made of heavy duty welded steel frame with full stress relief heat treatment after welding. Compared with the casting frame, this structure provides better strength-to-weight ratio and excellent anti-fatigue performance, ensuring the accurate alignment of the crankshaft and gear system under long-term high-load operation.
Gear transmission: precision machined herringbone gear design ensures a smooth, quiet and efficient transmission of power. The gears and shafts are made of high quality hardened alloy steel for exceptional durability at 2200HP.
Crankshaft and connecting rod: the crankshaft is the core of the power end. We fabricated crankshafts from heat-treated and dynamically balanced monolithically forged alloy steel (42CrMo or modified 4340) to withstand heavy cyclic loading7. The connecting rod is also made of high-strength forged steel to ensure structural integrity under severe conditions.
Bearing configuration: to maximize ride comfort and life, we have state-of-the-art roller bearings for key parts of the power end:
Main bearings: 2 double row tapered roller bearings
Pinion shaft bearings: 2 self aligning roller bearings
Crank pin bearings: 3 cylindrical roller bearings
Crosshead pin bearings: 3 double row needle roller bearings
Lubrication system: a combination of forced lubrication and splash lubrication is standard to ensure a continuous, clean supply of lubricants to all moving parts. Oil coolers, pressure gauges and fine filters are available to suit different operating conditions.
7500 PSI hydraulic end: the ultimate solution for high pressure conditions
Design Advantages: l-type modularity and superior materials
L-type modular design: OUR HYDRAULIC END uses an advanced two-piece L-type modular design, which has significant advantages over the traditional monolithic hydraulic end. The suction module and the discharge module are independent of each other, and when a badly worn suction module needs to be replaced, the cost is much lower than that of replacing the entire hydraulic end. This design also makes replacement of valves and seats easier and safer.
Top material: the hydraulic cylinder module is made of certified high quality forged alloy steel (Aisi 4130/4135) and is heat treated for optimum hardness and toughness. All components are subjected to strict non-destructive testing (NDT) before delivery to ensure zero defects.
Autofrettage process: this is the core technology of our high-end hydraulic end. By applying ultra-high pressure to the inner hole of the module, a layer of strong residual compressive stress is generated on the inner surface of the material. This prestress can effectively offset most of the tensile stress generated by the pump in operation, thus greatly extending the anti-fatigue life of the hydraulic end and effectively preventing the generation and propagation of stress corrosion cracks. Self-reinforcing is an essential process for a pump that requires long-term reliable operation at 7500 PSI.
Key wearing parts: configured for maximum uptime
We offer a range of high-performance wear parts that can be optimized for specific drilling conditions to achieve the best balance between performance and cost.
Liners:
High chromium bimetal cylinder liner: as a standard option for high performance, its lining has an HRC62 hardness, excellent wear resistance, and a service life of more than 800 hours under normal operating conditions.
Zirconia ceramic liner: this is the ultimate performance option. Zirconia ceramics have extremely high hardness, toughness and ultra-smooth surface, which can significantly reduce the friction with the piston, thus greatly extending the service life of the cylinder liner and the piston and reducing the total cost of ownership.
Pistons: the use of high temperature, chemical corrosion resistant polyurethane material, can be in a variety of drilling fluid (water-based, oil-based, synthetic-based) to maintain excellent sealing performance.
Valve Assembly: API # 8 Valve Assembly, designed for high pressure, large displacement conditions. Full bore design reduces flow resistance, while heavy duty forged bodies and seats withstand sustained impact under high pressure.
