The core of reliability: the construction of power end
Rack and pinion
Frame construction: the base of the power end is an integral frame welded with high-strength low-alloy steel. After welding, the entire frame is subjected to a rigorous stress relief heat treatment process.
Gearing: the transmission of power through a set of precisely machined Herringbone gears. Compared to spur or helical gears, herringbone design provides greater tooth surface contact area and natural axial force balance, which makes power transmission smoother, quieter, and more torque-carrying, and significantly reduce vibration in operation.
Crankshaft and bearing arrangement
Crankshaft technology: as the core rotating part of the power end, crankshaft bears huge cyclic stress. We insist on using solid forged alloy steel (4340 or 35CrMo) .
Bearing Configuration: in order to ensure smooth operation and long life, the whole power end are using international first-line brand heavy-duty roller bearings. The crankshaft main bearing adopts double row self-aligning roller bearing, which can bear radial load and axial load at the same time, and has self-aligning function, which can compensate the tiny deformation of the frame.
Crosshead and lubrication system
Crosshead Assembly: the crosshead is made of high strength ductile iron or cast steel. The surface of the guide plate (slide plate) is covered with replaceable manganese bronze wear-resistant layer.
Lubrication system: the 0T1300 features an extremely reliable and easy-to-maintain splash and gravity flow lubrication system. The system is designed to ensure that all key moving parts (bearings, gears, crossheads) are adequately lubricated, without the need for an external oil pump, relying on the spray of oil as the gears rotate and the internal oil circuit.
Design and material technology of hydraulic end
Modular l-type hydraulic end
Structural Advantages: the pump uses three independently replaceable L-type (valve on valve) hydraulic modules. The l-shaped modular design offers revolutionary advantages over the older, one-piece (through) hydraulic end. When a module needs to be replaced due to wear or fatigue, you simply replace the individual module without replacing the entire expensive hydraulic end assembly. This not only significantly reduces maintenance costs, but also minimizes downtime.
Material and process: each hydraulic end module is forged integrally from high quality alloy steel (35CRMO or 40CrMnMo) . The forging process ensures that the internal structure of the material is dense and free from casting defects. Subsequently, the module is subjected to multiple heat treatments such as strict normalizing, Quenching and Tempering, so that its internal hardness reaches the ideal range of HB285 to HB330, with both high strength and excellent toughness. All processes are CNC machined and subjected to rigorous non-destructive testing (NDT) in full compliance with API 7K standards.
Valve Assembly (API # 7 fully open)
Valve body and seat: Valve Assembly is the highest frequency hydraulic end of the vulnerable parts. For the 10T1300, we offer the industry standard API # 7 full open valve assembly. Both body and seat are precision forged in top grade low carbon alloy steel (AISI 8620/20CRNIMO or 20CrMnTi) . This material has excellent impact toughness.
Heat Treatment Process: in order to obtain the ultimate wear resistance, valve body and seat after finishing will be carburizing and quenching treatment. This process forms a hardened layer with a depth of 1.8 mm to 2.2 mm on the surface, and the surface hardness is as high as HRC ≥60, while the core still maintains good toughness, it can effectively resist the impact of high-pressure fluid and the erosion of abrasive particles.
Valve plugs and bonnets: the plugs are made of high quality Polyurethane with excellent abrasion resistance and tear resistance to ensure a reliable seal under high pressure. The valve cover adopts threaded design, which is convenient for quick disassembly and assembly with special tools and further simplifies the field maintenance work.
High-quality fragile parts and accessories: the cornerstone of performance
Liners
High chromium bimetal cylinder liner: the shell is made of high quality forged carbon steel (45 # steel) , with extremely high compressive strength. The inner sleeve is made of centrifugally cast high chromium alloy cast iron (chromium content not less than 27%) . After quenching heat treatment, the hardness of the inner wall can reach Hrc61 -64. The inner hole is honed with precision and its surface is as smooth as a mirror, which can ensure an ultra-long service life of more than 800 hours.
Zirconia ceramic liner: the liner is made of high purity Zirconia ceramic. The fracture toughness of the liner is several times higher than that of the traditional ceramic liner, and the hardness is higher than 90 HRC. Ceramic cylinder liner has unparalleled wear resistance and corrosion resistance, service life can reach more than 4000 hours, can significantly reduce the piston wear and lubrication water consumption, is the pursuit of the ultimate performance and the lowest maintenance costs of the ultimate choice.
Piston and piston rod
Piston Assembly: we offer integrally vulcanized bonded pistons with a core made of high strength forged alloy steel (42CRMO or 45 # steel) , quenched and tempered to resist high pressure deformation. Special formula of high-performance rubber piston (Polyurethane) or nitrile rubber (Nbr) , has excellent wear resistance, oil resistance and tear resistance, to ensure that the 5000 PSI pressure to provide lasting and reliable seal.
Piston rod/intermediate rod: the piston rod is a key component for power transmission and must be of high strength and resistance to fatigue. Our piston rods are made of high strength alloy steel (SAE 4140/42CRMO) , which is forged and integrally quenched and tempered for superior mechanical properties.
Other key accessories
Pulse buffer: to smooth pressure pulsation at pump outlet and protect downstream manifolds and equipment, the 10T1300 is equipped with a high-performance bladder-type pulse buffer Hydril K-20 or its equivalent. The forged casing and high-quality rubber air bag can effectively absorb the pressure peak and ensure the smooth operation of the drilling fluid system.
Safety valve: equipped with JA-3 shear pin type safety valve, simple and reliable structure, when the pipeline pressure is abnormally high, shear pin is cut off, rapid pressure relief, protect the pump and personnel safety. The valve can set different pressure relief values by changing the shear pin with different specifications.
Liner cooling system: the liner spray cooling system driven by an independent electric pump continuously cools and lubricates the liner and piston, effectively taking away the heat generated by friction, significantly extend the life of the cylinder liner and piston.
