Power end: Solid integrated foundation

 

 

The power end of the FM-45 is a robust integral unit that provides an inseparable integrated support for the intermediate shaft and eccentric shaft bearings.

Power is transmitted through a set of high-speed four-row roller chains, driving an integrated casting composed of a main sprocket and an eccentric wheel, which is fixed on a sturdy alloy steel straight shaft by key connection. The entire transmission system is supported by high-quality roller bearings, ensuring efficient and smooth power transmission.

Hydraulic end: The ultimate integrity of integral casting

The hydraulic end of the FM-45 also adopts an integral casting design, which is a design path completely different from the modern split and L-shaped hydraulic ends.

The heart of the hydraulic end - cylinder liner

● High-chromium bimetallic cylinder liner: The housing is integrally forged from high-strength carbon steel or alloy steel (45# steel), capable of withstanding tremendous circumferential stress. The inner lining is made of proprietary high-chromium cast iron alloy (with chromium content Cr≥26% - 28%), and the hardness of the inner hole reaches an extremely high level of Rockwell hardness HRC62-69. Under normal working conditions, its service life can stably exceed 800 hours.

● Ceramic cylinder liner: Zirconia ceramic material has a higher hardness (Rockwell hardness can reach HRC92−94) and better impact toughness than high-chromium alloys. Its inner surface can be honed to a mirror finish (surface finish 4-8 RMS), which greatly reduces the friction with the piston and significantly extends the service life of the piston and cylinder liner themselves. The service life of ceramic cylinder liners can be as high as 4,000 hours.

1. Piston core: Our piston core is forged as a whole from high-quality alloy steel (42CrMo or 45# steel) and undergoes normalizing heat treatment to ensure it has a hardness of no less than HB170 and excellent anti-deformation ability, capable of withstanding an ultimate pressure of up to 7500 psi.

2 Piston rubber: We offer a variety of high-performance piston rubber to adapt to different mud systems and temperatures.

2.1 Polyurethane (Urethane) Piston: Made of specially formulated double-hardness polyurethane material, it is firmly bonded to the piston core through an integrated vulcanization bonding process. This design enables it to perform exceptionally well in oil-based mud and high-pressure conditions, featuring outstanding wear resistance, heat resistance (up to 350 ° F / 177 ° C), and extrusion resistance.

2.2 Nitrile butadiene rubber (NBR) piston: For water-based mud, we offer pistons made of the tough and durable NBR. Its special fabric-reinforced backing provides waterproof bonding, ensuring a long service life and excellent sealing performance even at temperatures up to 250 ° F / 121 ° C.

Sealed door - valve assembly

● Valve body and valve seat: FM-45 adopts a robust traditional tank valve design. Both the valve body and the valve seat are made of high-quality carbon steel or alloy steel (20CrMnTi) through die forging, ensuring a dense internal metal flow line and excellent strength. After forging, the components undergo a strict computer-controlled heat treatment process, including carburizing and quenching, to achieve a contact surface hardness of HRC≥60 while maintaining the core's toughness to resist impact 33. This process ensures that the valve body and valve seat are less likely to develop fatigue cracks under long-term high-frequency opening and closing.

● Valve rubber (valve inserts) : We offer replaceable valve inserts made of high-quality polyurethane or other high-performance polymers 32. These materials have been carefully selected and their formulas optimized to adapt to different mud properties and temperatures, ensuring a reliable seal is formed each time it is closed to prevent the backflow of high-pressure fluids.

● Performance and Lifespan: Through precise processing and strict quality control, our valve assemblies have a reliable lifespan of over 600 hours, effectively preventing erosion at the hydraulic end and ensuring the continuous and efficient operation of the mud pump.

The backbone of performance - the piston rod

● Material and Craftsmanship: Our piston rods are made of high-quality heat-treated alloy steel, featuring excellent fatigue resistance, corrosion resistance and heavy load resistance. The surface of the rod body has undergone induction hardening treatment, achieving extremely high surface hardness, while the core maintains excellent toughness. Subsequently, the rod body underwent precise grinding and mirror polishing to ensure a perfect surface finish of 16.
