Power End: the cornerstone of indestructible strength and mechanical integrity

Frame and crankshaft assembly: the core of a rigid structure

The power end housing of the KG-KXF pump is constructed of rugged monocoque alloy cast iron, providing exceptional rigidity and vibration damping characteristics.

The crankshaft is forged in one-piece alloy steel and subjected to rigorous heat treatment and dynamic balancing, designed to withstand continuous heavy loads and provide maximum service life.

Gear Train: the unique advantages of herringbone gears

The KG-KXF pump uses technically advanced Herringbone Gears, precision machined from high-strength alloy steels such as ANSI 4340, with heat-treated tooth surfaces to meet AGMA class 10 accuracy.

Connecting rod and crosshead: designed for high load durability

During the operation of reciprocating pumps, the connecting rod and the crosshead are subjected to huge periodic stresses. For this reason, the connecting rod of the KG-KXF pump adopts a monolithic Nodular Iron structure.

To further increase durability and simplify maintenance, the connecting rod has high-lead bronze bushings at the big end (crankshaft end) and small end (crosshead end) . These bushings serve as replaceable sacrificial wear parts that effectively protect the more valuable connecting rod and crosshead bodies. When wear occurs, the original accuracy can be restored only by replacing the bushing, which greatly prolongs the service life of the core components and significantly reduces the cost and complexity of equipment overhaul.

Lubrication systems: reliability from parsimony

The KG-KXF pump uses an extremely reliable Flood/Splash Lubrication System. The wide crankcase oil bath provides constant oil bath lubrication for all internal moving parts such as gears, connecting rods, and crossheads. At the same time, the spindle and intermediate shaft roller bearings are independently grease lubricated and equipped with sealing protection.

Hydraulic end: using advanced materials to cope with extreme environments

Modular hydraulic cylinder design: a fusion of strength and maintainability

The cylinders of the KG-KXF pump are forged individually from high-quality alloy steel (35CrMo or 40CrMnMo) or high-strength cast steel and are heat-treated to pressures up to 5,000 PSI or even 10,000 PSI. The forging process ensures the density and uniformity of the internal grain structure of the material, fundamentally eliminates the defects such as porosity and inclusions that may exist in the casting, and endows the cylinder with excellent strength and toughness.

Feature Focus: KXF Quick Change hydraulic end

One of the highlights of the KXF model is its"Quick change hydraulic end" design. The design optimizes the installation and disassembly process of vulnerable parts, and allows field maintenance personnel to complete the replacement of cylinder liners, pistons, valves and other components in a shorter time. This translates directly into quantifiable benefits-significantly shorter downtime for scheduled maintenance, reduced labor intensity and lower labor costs for on-site operations.

Cylinder liner solution: tailor-made for each operating condition

Hy-chrome cylinder liner: bimetal construction, high strength forged steel shell, high chromium cast iron lining with more than 27% chromium. Its bore hardness up to Rockwell hardness HRC 60-65, with unparalleled wear resistance, especially suitable for handling high solid content of abrasive mud, designed to last more than 800 hours.

Zirconia (ceramic) liner: combines the strength of a forged steel case with the ultimate wear and corrosion resistance of a zirconia (Zro3) ceramic liner. The material is the ultimate solution to extreme abrasion and chemical corrosion conditions, and is designed to last more than 4000 hours in harsh conditions.

Hardened steel and chrome-plated cylinder liner: high-quality forged steel, the hole after carburizing quenching treatment, the hardness of HRC 58-62. It is a reliable and economical choice for handling mud, cement slurry and cementing operations.

Bronze and stainless steel cylinder liners: designed for water-based fluids, brine injection or other corrosive media. These materials have excellent resistance to chemical attack, which can effectively prevent premature failure due to corrosion.

Piston and piston rod: the core of pumping performance

Pistons: for abrasive media such as mud and cement, we offer steel-framed pistons with bonded Urethane or Nitrile Rubber. For oil-based fluids, monolithic cast iron pistons with cast iron rings are recommended For general or water-based applications, bronze or cast iron follow-through pistons are ideal.

Piston rod: made of high strength alloy steel and available in hardened, hard chrome or stainless steel options to effectively resist the combined effects of wear and corrosion, ensure smooth operation and long-lasting sealing in the stuffing box area.

Valve Assembly: Precision Seal under extreme pressure

Design types: Wing-guided and Center-guided designs are available to accommodate the flow characteristics of different fluids.

Material selection: bodies and seats are made of high quality forged alloy or hardened steel for high pressure slurries and oil based fluids; bronze or stainless steel is recommended for corrosive media. Valve rubber Inserts are made of highly abrasion-resistant polyurethane or special rubbers (e. g. NBR, HNBR) selected according to fluid chemistry and temperature.
