Power End: the cornerstone of reliability

The power end of the A-1700-PT is designed for maximum durability and smooth power transmission.

Frame Construction: the foundation is a solid welded steel power rack, welded and stress-relieved to withstand continuous high-load operation.

Gearing: power is transmitted through precision-machined helical gears that operate more smoothly and silently than other gear types.

Crankshaft and bearings: the pump uses one-piece forged alloy steel crankshafts supported by high-capacity roller bearings throughout the power end to ensure long, low-maintenance service life. The pinion shaft and connecting rod are also equipped with premium roller bearings.

Crosshead assembly: replaceable bronze crosshead slipper and shim adjustable guide minimizes friction and wear, simplifies maintenance and extends the life of critical components.

Lubrication system: the use of forced lubrication and splash lubrication of the dual lubrication system to ensure that all moving parts always get a clean supply of oil. The system includes full flow filtration to protect the bearings and gears from contaminants, a key factor in preventing premature failure.

Hydraulic end: for high pressure

The hydraulic end is where the A-1700-PT shows its true strength, treating abrasive and high-pressure drilling fluids with unparalleled toughness.

Modular design: the pump uses a separate, replaceable forged steel cylinder in an l-shaped configuration. Compared to conventional valve-on-valve designs, this design provides superior strength, simplifies maintenance, and makes the valve more accessible.

Quality material: hydraulic end modules are made of high strength forged alloy steel such as 4130,4135,35CRMO or AISI 8620. These materials are subjected to rigorous heat treatment and non-destructive testing to ensure their integrity and durability under pressures up to 7500 PSI.

Valve system: the pump uses API standard valves and seats with threaded self-locking bonnets to ensure safe and reliable operation.

High quality accessories and wearing parts

Using OEM or equivalent components is essential to maintaining the performance and safety of your Oilwell A-1700-PT mud pump. We offer a full range of high quality wear parts designed for maximum service life.

Cylinder liner:

High chromium bimetal cylinder liner: Industry Standard, with forged steel casing and centrifugally cast high chromium cast iron lining, excellent wear resistance.

Zirconia ceramic liners: suitable for the most extreme abrasive and corrosive environments, these liners provide exceptional service life, higher temperature rating, and lower friction, thereby extending the life of the liner and piston.

Piston and piston rod:

Pistons: available in bonded polyurethane or rubber, designed to withstand high pressure and heat while resisting chemical attack by various mud types.

Piston rod: forged from high strength alloy steel, heat treated and precision ground for perfect fit and long service life.

Valve Assembly:

Material and process: the body and seat are forged from high quality alloy steel such as 20CrNiMo/AISI 8620 and carburized to a surface hardness of HRC 60 or higher for maximum durability.

Inserts: high performance polyurethane or nitrile rubber (NBR) inserts provide a reliable seal under high pressure conditions.
