Crankcase: a solid foundation for stable operation
The crankcase of the C35-20 is precision cast in rugged, monolithic ductile iron. We chose ductile iron that meets the ASTM A536 standard because of its superior strength, ductility, and impact resistance, which effectively absorbs the vibrations of reciprocating motion, thus providing an extremely stable operating platform for the entire dynamic system. In addition, the removable cover plate design greatly facilitates the field maintenance and repair, reflecting our user-centered design philosophy.
Crankshaft and bearings: precision built to withstand high loads
As the core of power transmission, the crankshaft is made of automotive industrial grade 4140 heat-treated forged alloy steel 4. Compared with the conventional cast crankshaft, the forging process makes the grain structure inside the steel more dense and oriented, thus obtaining unparalleled fatigue strength and toughness, which can be used to improve the fatigue life of the crankshaft, this is the key to ensuring that the pump can withstand continuous high-strength operations.
The main bearings are heavy-duty tapered roller bearings, a bearing type designed to withstand both high radial and axial loads, ensuring perfect crankshaft alignment under all operating conditions, thus, the wear of related components is minimized. In addition, the two-way rotation of the crankshaft provides customers with great installation flexibility in complex equipment layouts.
Connecting rod and crosshead: efficient and reliable power transmission
The transmission of power from the crankshaft to the plunger depends on the reliability of the connecting rod and crosshead assembly. We chose high-strength ductile iron (ASTM A536) to fabricate the connecting rod and heavy-duty crosshead. A crucial design feature for maintainability is a replaceable bronze wrist pin bushing integrated into the connecting rod. This means that after a long period of use, the user only needs to replace the worn bearing bush, rather than replacing the entire expensive connecting rod assembly, thus significantly reducing the cost of life-cycle maintenance. The"Pony" rod is made of fine-polished 303 stainless steel and securely connected to the crosshead with axial threads and pins, ensuring perfect alignment and low friction operation, effectively extend the life of the seal.
Hydraulic end: Precision Engineering for abrasive and corrosive environments
Manifolds and cylinder liners: pressure sealing systems
The hydraulic end pump body -LRB-manifold) is made of high strength ductile iron, which provides a solid and reliable pressure chamber for high pressure operation and can effectively resist the stress caused by continuous operation. The durability advantages of this material are particularly prominent in applications where pressure fluctuations exist, such as dredging of municipal pipelines.
One of the core technical highlights is its tapered stainless steel cylinder liner with ceramic coating 4. This composite structure has the strength and toughness of the stainless steel matrix and the ultra-high wear resistance of the ceramic surface. Ceramic coating can effectively resist the erosion of abrasive fluid (such as mud, sand) , which greatly prolongs the service life of cylinder liner and piston packing, and reduces the maintenance frequency and cost.
Piston and packing assembly: the core of the sealing system
The piston assembly consists of a solid stainless steel piston rod, pressure ring, spring, retainer ring and locking screws, ensuring durability in corrosive media.
The packing is made of cotton fabric reinforced Nitrile rubber and supported by an Aluminum Phenolic follower with a multi-layered lip v-ring design. This multi-lip structure provides redundant sealing points to ensure a reliable sealing effect under high pressure. Nitrile rubber has excellent resistance to oils and fluids common in industry.

The hardness and toughness of the stainless steel valve group can effectively resist the impact and wear of solid particles.
C35-20-DV Type (acetal resin valve)
Valve set: flat valve (part No. 17714A003) with * * Acetal/DELRIN * * polymer.
Working conditions: this type is designed for applications with special requirements for chemical compatibility. Acetal resin has excellent solvent and hydrocarbon resistance, while its low coefficient of friction and high dimensional stability ensure the smooth operation of the valve and long-term reliable seal. Therefore, C35-20-DV is ideal for food processing, chemical delivery, and car washing industries that use specific cleaners.
