Myers CPM18-40:

Power: the foundation of indestructible strength and durability

Crankcase (power rack)

The Myers CPM 18-40 crankcase is made of strong CL30 cast iron and is crafted to provide a solid foundation for the entire power section.

Crankshaft

The heart of the power transmission is its automotive-grade 4140 heat-treated forged alloy steel crankshaft.

Connecting rod and crosshead

Both are made of high strength ductile iron and strictly follow the ASTM A536 standard. Replaceable bronze wrist pin bearings, an important design for maintainability. It allows the user to replace only the bearing after wear and tear, rather than the entire connecting rod assembly, thereby significantly reducing the cost of long-term maintenance and overhaul.

Bearings and lubrication system

The CPM 18-40 uses tapered roller bearings for its crankshaft support. Compared with standard ball bearing, tapered roller bearing can bear huge radial load and axial load at the same time.

Continuous Splash lubrication system, to ensure that all the moving parts of the surface is always covered with a layer of oil, to minimize friction and effective heat dissipation, for the long-term continuous operation of the pump to provide a reliable guarantee.

Hydraulic end: the precise and durable way to deal with the harsh medium

Hydraulic end body (manifold)

The hydraulic end manifold of the CPM18-40 is standardly furnished in high-strength steel, adequate for most industrial cleaning and mud pumping tasks. For more demanding applications, we offer 316 stainless steel as an optional upgrade material. This option is critical for industries that deal with corrosive chemicals, brines, or fluids that require high purity, such as food processing or reverse osmosis systems.

Plunger assembly

The CPM18-40 features an industry-leading K-ramic coated plunger. K-ramic is a chemically formed composite ceramic coating that is firmly bonded to a stainless steel substrate. This innovative composite structure combines the strength and thermal shock resistance of the steel core with the extreme hardness and low coefficient of friction of the ceramic surface.

Valve Assembly

The valve assembly of the CPM18-40 uses a carefully designed combination of synergistic materials: stainless steel seats and plastic acetal copolymer discs.

Plunger packing (seals)

The CPM18-40 comes standard with a Nitrile packing with a multi-lip v-ring design reinforced by cotton fabric that performs well in conventional media such as water and petroleum-based fluids, both cost-effective and reliable.

Fluoroelastomer (Viton/FKM) : suitable for high temperature (operating temperature up to 210∘ C) and highly corrosive chemical environments such as acids, fuels and a variety of industrial solvents.

Kevlar fiber (Kevlar) : with high wear resistance and strength, is the treatment of a large number of solid particles containing abrasive mud or slurry ideal choice.

Polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) : with near-universal chemical resistance and an extremely low coefficient of friction, it is suitable for a wide range of highly corrosive media and applications that require high purity.

Applications: when durability meets a serious challenge

The rugged design and superior performance of the Myers CPM18-40 make it ideal for a wide range of industries, enabling reliable operation under the most demanding conditions.

Sewer desilting: its high-strength ductile iron hydraulic end and robust power end can easily cope with the high-strength, continuous working cycles and pressure fluctuations common in sewer cleaning operations. K-ramic coated plungers have excellent resistance to abrasive materials such as sand and gravel commonly found in sewer lines.

High pressure industrial cleaning: the pump can generate up to 4,000 PSI and is ideal for removing stubborn dirt such as stripping old paint, metal surface pretreatment and deep cleaning of heavy machinery. Various optional sealing materials ensure the chemical compatibility of the pump with various industrial cleaning agents and avoid premature damage to the seals.

Mining and drilling operations (MUD pumping) : the"Mud Pump" designation identifies one of its core applications. The pump is designed to handle abrasive fluids such as bentonite mud. Its durable construction, particularly the wear-resistant k-ramic-coated plungers and tough ductile iron components, ensures long-term reliable operation in these harsh environments.

Food Processing and car washing industry: through the selection of 316 stainless steel hydraulic end, CPM18-40 can be used for high hygiene requirements or corrosion-resistant application scenarios, effectively prevent the fluid from being contaminated, to ensure the purity of the final product.
