The working principle of mud pump is based on the periodic change of working chamber volume, which directly converts the mechanical energy of the prime mover into the pressure energy of the conveyed liquid. The flow rate of the pump is mainly affected by the change value of the working chamber volume and its frequency, and has no direct correlation with the discharge pressure. The mud pump realizes the periodic change of the working chamber volume through the reciprocating motion of the piston in the working chamber of the cylinder. Its structure is isolated from the outside world by a sealing device, and communicates or closes with the pipeline through the pump valve.
