The mud pump should be placed securely on a horizontal or slightly inclined base (with an inclination of no more than 3°) to facilitate the smooth flow of lubricating oil. The pump should be installed at a low position, while the mud pool should be placed at a high position to improve the suction efficiency of the mud pump. At the same time, it is necessary to ensure that the inlet end of the pump's suction pipe is slightly higher than the bottom of the mud pool, with a distance of about 300mm, and the inner diameter of the suction pipe should be kept consistent to avoid the inlet end directly facing the inlet of the mud pool (the same applies to the mud tank). In addition, be sure to follow the instruction manual, correctly install the safety valve and discharge manifold, and ensure that all suction and discharge pipelines are firmly supported to reduce unnecessary stress and vibration.
