Preparations Before Starting The Mud Pump

Before starting the mud pump for the first time, a series of preparations need to be completed to ensure that the pump can operate normally and safely. First, check the lubricating oil at the bottom of the power end frame, drain the old oil and clean the oil pool, and inject an appropriate amount of lubricating oil into the new pump. Secondly, carefully check the gap between the crosshead and the upper and lower guide plates to ensure that it meets the requirements of the equipment. In addition, it is necessary to check whether the cooling lubricating fluid in the spray pump water tank is sufficient to meet the cooling and lubrication needs of the pump. At the same time, check the tightness of all threaded connections and remove debris from the pump to ensure the internal cleanliness of the pump. In addition, all valves on the mud pipeline should be placed in the correct position, and the pressure of the exhaust air bag should also be controlled within the range of 4±0.5MPa. Finally, open the inlet and outlet valves of the spray pump system and the injection system, check the sensitivity of the safety valve and the pressure gauge, fill the suction pipeline cavity with water or mud, and exhaust the air in it to ensure smooth startup of the pump.
