Power rack structure: the unbreakable backbone

The power end of the 350-PT is a fully welded, assembled steel power rack. Drivetrain and bearing assembly: Precise power transfer

 

Crankshaft: crankshaft is the power end of the core, the use of high-strength alloy steel forged.

Pinion shaft: pinion shaft is made of 42CrMo and other high-grade alloy steel by precision machining, and equipped with high precision herringbone gear (double helical gear) . This gear design ensures a smooth and quiet transmission with minimal vibration, resulting in a significant increase in transmission efficiency 7.

Bearing Assembly: the crankshaft is supported by strong straight roller bearings to withstand large radial forces, while the intermediate and pinion shafts are supported by double-row spherical roller bearings capable of handling both radial and axial loads. Split precision bearings are used for crank pin bearings. This design greatly facilitates the maintenance and replacement in the frame and shortens the maintenance time.

Reciprocating motion assembly: Engineering Design for wear resistance

 

Connecting rod: the connecting rod adopts two-piece design, allowing the connecting rod and the crankshaft to be installed and assembled independently in the pump body. This is a significant maintenance advantage, greatly simplifying the maintenance process and reducing downtime.

Crosshead: the crosshead is made of high strength ductile iron and operates in a replaceable guide plate that can be adjusted with gaskets. This design allows for precise adjustment of the clearance between the crosshead and guide plate (standard clearance is 0.010 to 0.015 inches) by adding or removing shims to compensate for wear and tear caused by prolonged operation, thus extending the life of the entire reciprocating assembly. Crosshead pin bushings are made of bearing bronze and are selected for their excellent self-lubricating and wear resistance.

The hydraulic cylinder module is connected by sturdy double-headed studs and is equipped with independently removable suction and discharge manifolds, further enhancing the convenience of on-site maintenance.

Materials science and manufacturing processes: forging for failure resistance

Our cylinder modules are made of high quality alloy steel (35CrMo, 40CRMNMO or 4135) by forging process.

Each module is precisely machined by a CNC milling machine to meet precise tolerance requirements. Subsequently, the best mechanical properties (tensile strength 850 MPA, yield strength 670 MPa) and extremely high durability were obtained by strict heat treatment and internal quenching process. We have a zero tolerance policy for defects: each module is subjected to rigorous non-destructive testing (such as ultrasonic testing, penetrant testing) to ensure that there are no cracks, inclusions, looseness and any other defects, welding repair of any kind is strictly prohibited.

Cylinder liner: the first line of defense

Structural design: all of our cylinder liners are clad in high strength forged steel to ensure maximum structural integrity and compression resistance. The casing is precisely machined to ensure perfect concentricity. The unique"HP" lip design effectively prevents the inner sleeve from sliding under high pressure.

Cylinder liner options and applications:

High chromium (bimetal) cylinder liner: inner liner is made of high chromium cast iron (chromium content is not less than 25%) by centrifugal casting. After heat treatment, its hardness is up to HRC 62-69. It is ideal for use in standard water-based muds where normal service life can exceed 800 hours.

Zirconia ceramic liners: made from proprietary zirconia-based composite ceramic materials, the liners have superior hardness (HRC 92-94) , greater impact resistance, and mirror-like finish (4-8 RMS surface finish) . This ultra-smooth surface greatly reduces friction and significantly extends piston life.

Hardened steel cylinder liner: this is a one-piece forged steel cylinder liner, its inner hole after nitrocarburizing and quenching treatment, hardness up to HRC 60, has excellent corrosion resistance, is the specific conditions of high cost-effective choice.

Piston: precise transmission of pressure

 

Structural design: Our Pistons are manufactured based on a sturdy forged alloy steel piston core for maximum tensile strength. It is designed to withstand pressures up to 7,500 PSI and temperatures up to 350 °F (177 °C) .

Piston options and applications:

Bonded polyurethane pistons: an excellent choice for oil-based mud and high-pressure drilling. The dual-hardness polyurethane compound is bonded directly to the piston core, providing excellent wear and extrusion resistance.

Adhesive rubber piston (NBR) : a rugged and reliable choice, ideal for chemical and oil-based muds. Nitrile rubber (Nbr) is strongly bonded to the piston core, eliminating leakage paths.

Replaceable Rubber Piston: provides convenience for quick on-site maintenance. The Piston Cup is replaceable on a reusable piston core and features a fabric-reinforced extrusion ring for extended life.

Valve Assembly: Guardian of flow

 

Design: body and seat are machined from forged alloy steel for durability under high pressure and are often oxidized to increase corrosion resistance. We offer a wide range of designs to suit a variety of operating conditions.

Design options:

Fully Open valve assembly: provides maximum flow area and reduces turbulence and wear as the fluid passes through. Ideal for high displacement applications.

Ribbed guided valve assemblies (such as four-ribbed valves) : provide superior stability and a strong sealing surface, ideal for high-pressure applications.

Valve rubber material: valve rubber is the main sealing element, optional materials include:

Polyurethane: excellent durability, abrasion resistance and long life in all mud types. Standard issue.

Nitrile rubber (NBR) : has excellent properties in oil-based drilling fluids.

Piston rod with connectors: critical connections

 

We use a two-piece threaded piston rod design. This ingenious design allows replacement of the piston without removing the cylinder liner, greatly saving valuable on-site maintenance time. The surface of the piston rod is cadmium plated to enhance its corrosion resistance.
