Deep analysis of power end: the cornerstone of solid design
Superiority of ductile iron frame
PZ-10 power end of the frame, eccentric shaft and connecting rod and other core structural components, using high-strength Nodular Iron (Nodular Iron) whole cast.
Precision Drive and bearing system
The PZ-10's power train is designed for smooth, efficient torque transmission.
Drive Gear: the main gear is forged from high-quality alloy steel, subjected to rigorous heat treatment and designed with Double Helical teeth.
Bearing Configuration: The Power End adopts full roller bearing structure to cope with the severe load conditions. The eccentric shaft (crankshaft) is supported by double-row spherical roller bearings, which can withstand extremely high radial loads and certain axial loads at the same time, and have a self-aligning function to compensate for potential installation errors and frame deformation. Double out of the pinion shaft (Jack Shaft) by heavy-duty straight roller bearing load, to ensure the high speed rigidity and stability.
Crosshead and connecting rod: the big end of the connecting rod adopts double row roller bearings, and the small end is connected with the crosshead pin to ensure the accuracy of the movement. The crosshead slide plate is made of replaceable bronze. This self-lubricating material effectively reduces friction, prolongs the service life of the crosshead and the rack guide, and is easy to replace on site, greatly simplifying maintenance.
Analysis of hydraulic end technology: the way to win in high pressure environment
Wrought alloy steel cylinder module
The Fluid End of the PZ-10 has an interchangeable modular design, and the core component, the Fluid End Module, is forged from a single piece of high-quality alloy steel (35CrMo, 40CrMnMo, or 4135) .
API-7 standard valve assembly
Valve Design: PZ-10 standard with Api-7 # standard three-ribbed valve assembly. We also offer Full Open valves as an option. The fully open valve has a larger flow area, which can effectively reduce the resistance and turbulence of the fluid, and reduce the erosion of the valve body and valve seat. It is especially suitable for high displacement and high solid content drilling fluid.
Material Selection: to adapt to the chemical and physical characteristics of different drilling fluids, valve plug-in provides a variety of material options. Standard configuration for high-performance Polyurethane plug-ins with excellent wear resistance and elasticity. For high temperature or special chemical environment, but also choose Nitrile Rubber (Nitrile Rubber) and other special materials.
Convenient Maintenance: the valve cover of the hydraulic cylinder adopts threaded design. Compared with the traditional bolted flange connection, disassembly and assembly are faster, which can significantly shorten the shutdown time for on-site replacement of valves and seats and improve operation efficiency.
Full range of original accessories and wearing parts: to ensure continuous and efficient operation
Cylinder liner selection and material specification
The cylinder liner is the core wearable part which bears the reciprocating motion of the piston and the flushing of the drilling fluid directly in the hydraulic end. We offer two mainstream cylinder liners to meet different durability and cost requirements.

Type of liner |
Material composition and process |
Rockwell hardness (HRC) |
Key advantages and applications |
|
Bi-metal liner (Bi-metal/Hy-chrome) |
The case is made of high strength forged steel (e.g. , AISI 1045) and lined with a high chromium cast iron alloy. The two are tightly combined by hot pressing process, and the inner hole is precisely honed. |
Lining HRC ≥60-65 |
Excellent comprehensive performance, good wear resistance and corrosion resistance, cost-effective. It is suitable for most conventional drilling operations. Life expectancy is approximately 800 hours. |
|
Ceramic/Zirconia |
The shell is made of high strength forged steel and lined with Zirconia-based ceramic. The ceramic lining is sintered by advanced technology and matched with the shell precisely. |
The lining HRC ≥85 |
Extreme wear resistance, far beyond the bimetal cylinder liner. Excellent corrosion resistance and high temperature resistance. Suitable for high solid, strong abrasive drilling fluid and high temperature and high pressure wells. The expected service life can reach more than 2000-4000 hours, significantly extending the maintenance cycle. |
List of pistons, piston rods and related components
The piston assembly and the piston rod are the key components to transmit the linear motion of the power end to the drilling fluid.

Key features |
|
Piston assembly |
Rubber/polyurethane bonded piston |
The core of the piston is made of high-strength forged alloy steel, and the sealing body is made of high-performance polyurethane or nitrile rubber. |
A variety of polyurethane formulations (e. g. "Dual-Duro", "Green Duo") are available to cope with different abrasion and pressure levels. The integrated design ensures reliable sealing. |
|
Piston rod |
Clamping/threaded |
High quality forged alloy steel with precision ground and chrome (or other hardened) finish. |
High surface hardness, wear resistance, corrosion resistance, ensure the sealing effect and long life with packing. |
|
Pony Rod |
- |
High strength alloy steel, heat treated and precision worked. |
Connecting the crosshead and the piston rod, transferring huge tension and compression, requires extremely high strength and anti-fatigue performance. |
